After 2 years as a full-time mom, it was time to re-enter the workforce—I needed a new career and a fresh start.
When I got pregnant at such as young age, people thought my life was ruined forever; nothing could be further from the truth. It was challenging to become a young single mother to my daughter, Unique, but she has accompanied me throughout my life. I graduated high school with her and later went to community college, balancing an associate’s degree in computer science with the responsibilities of motherhood.
I realized computer science wasn’t really my thing, so I became an agent at a call center, eventually working my way up to team leader. I stayed at the call center for 10 years before becoming a manager at a gas and electric company. This is when I met my husband, Eric. He was a 28-year-old single father to Erica and Jesse, raising them entirely on his own. We immediately bonded over single parenthood and fell in love.
Eric and I dated for 10 years before we got married. We also moved in together, blending our families. Suddenly, Unique and I went from just the two of us to suddenly being part of a much bigger family. Eric and I also had a child together, Santino.
I became a full-time mom for 2 years until I simply couldn’t do it anymore. I missed speaking to adults! But I didn’t want to go back to a corporate job, either. What should I do? I considered becoming a teacher’s aide but ultimately pursued my real estate license in 2020. With Eric owning a construction company, working together just made sense—we could support each other through our businesses.
It was exciting to transition to real estate, but it also came during one of the most challenging times in my life, as I lost a younger brother and an older brother that same year. There was addiction involved, and I watched them suffer, frustrated that I couldn’t help. I tried to be a strong rock for my family, but all those bottled-up emotions took a toll on me. I fell into a dark place, drinking as a way to find relief, but I knew that wasn’t the solution.
I started going to church more often and began to believe in an afterlife, finding peace in the idea that my brothers were in a better place. That belief helped me heal. I turned to God for strength and healing. I also became inspired to be a better person to those around me.
Family has always been everything to me. My parents are still alive and remain a huge part of my life—I try to spend as much time with them as possible. I also have grandkids now, which is exciting! Camping is a family priority, and we love taking the kids on vacations (my son is obsessed with cruises). I stay involved with my church and help organize community events. I also participate in food drives with my brokerage, Keller Williams Preferred.
Looking back, I’m proud of who I’ve become. Mistakes are not the end-all, be-all—they’re just part of our evolution. We continue to grow through our mistakes. I’m grateful for every decision that has brought me to where I am today, especially having Unique grow up alongside me.
I’m passionate about helping clients achieve their real estate goals, including first-time homebuyers and those who need extra guidance. Building strong relationships is at the heart of my approach. I take the time to understand my clients and bring value by sharing my knowledge, being patient, and staying committed until we find the perfect home. To me, this is more than just a transaction; I genuinely care about my clients and hope to build lasting friendships.
This dedication drives me to go above and beyond, exceeding expectations as a real estate agent. I prioritize open and transparent communication, encouraging clients to share their concerns and background without fear of judgment. Having faced my own struggles, I understand the challenges buyers and sellers encounter and strive to provide effective, tailored solutions––never judgment.
One of my strengths is selling homes, and I have extensive sales experience. I also work with investors looking to renovate and resell properties. With my husband, a contractor, we prepare homes for sale, ensuring any necessary repairs are completed to maximize value.
Sincerely,
